Sold HD555 - bought K701.
Sold K701 - bought HD650.

I was happy with both "upgrades."

I just picked up K701 (and SR225) for audition to test them with my current Stello rig.

By this brief listening I've done now, I must say that HD650 is definitely staying in the house.

I sold the Sennheiser HD 650 for the AKG K 701 and I think that was a good move.

Sold k701 and never liked them. Selling 600/650. Also sold/selling ad2k, w5k and dt880 and will keep ms-pro and sa5k for a while.

Out of this list sa-5k are the best.

I won't sell any of my headphones unless I really need the cash. Unless you are sure that you won't listen to a headphone anymore, it just doesn't make sense to sell it. It's not like they take up that much room or are that expensive (generally) that keeping them around, even if used only infrequently, is that much of a burden.

That's my position.

Sold my K701s for the RS1s. The K701s seem too redundant of my DT880s. The RS1s complement the DT880s nicely, particularly when I want to rock out.

I owned the 650/Zu for 1.5 years but sold them to get the K701. The Senns had a little too much bass (not tight also) and was too recessed in the mids for my liking. Since I bought the K701 used, I actually came up $100 ahead.

The MS-Pro is still my main cans though.
