Ah okay, I didn't realise they did that.
When I hear Ibasso I think of Daps.
iBasso d16 taipan is not even cheap mammia.

You can still connect your R26 via Lan.
If that is not possible, there is also a Lan to wifi adapter.
And then you have to connect to the streaming provider.
I think it's Sqeezelite or something like that, where you then enter your streaming provider login data.
But I can't remember exactly how that was, maybe someone else knows.

Otherwise you only have a laptop or PC as an alternative to go in via USB.

If nothing helps and everything is still the same and it worked before then a new flashing would be an option.
IBasso d16 taipan it's an amazing piece of gear.
How else can I connect to the USB C ( tablet ) on R26?
i2S to USB C??

Raspberry Pi with Roopie on, I'll have to watch some videos, have no idea how to use it
I'm 99,99 % sure, if I'd use some device with USB A ( Microsoft tablet) connected to USB B - R26, there are no issues
This occurs only with USB C ( Android devices) to USB B, R26, and I had exactly the same experience with iFi micro audio Signature, USB A.
So, USB C to USB C, no issues
USB A to USB A ( or B) no issues

It is actually a small mini computer that can run small programmes.
It's especially good for audio stuff, as it doesn't need a lot of resources and is limited to the smallest possible size.
But it needs a good power supply if you want it to work well.
If you are interested and think you can handle it.
It's currently the newest, next to the Holo Audio Red Streamer:

It depends on which streaming provider you have.
If you have Roon, it's all good.

No is not possible I2S is only DDC (Digital to Digital Converter)
is something else again.
The converter is connected via USB B, takes over a different clocking of the signal and frees it from the usual USB problems.
Singxer SU2/6,Holo Audio Red,Matrix Audio Spidif for example are such devices.

Does Bluethooth not work with the tablet to the R26?

Didn't try Bluetooth with the tablet to the R26
From the previous posts it appears you actually did get sound through the USB B input on the R26 with some devices, like Windows PC. Is that true?

If so, then we know the DAC is working as it should and you won't need to flash the SD card on the R26.

I get sound through the USB B but it keeps disconnecting it
I'm not using the R26 on my PC.
Can't find a way to fix this.
The only way is to get some Windows tablet with USB A, or maybe some Raspberry Pi, as Deleeh said

Just moved the R26 and iFi iCAN Pro Signature to my PC, for testing
From USB B - R26 to USB A - PC, not a single issue.
But I don't want to have it there. On my PC I already have the RME ADI 2 DAC FS with Violectric V222 and I'm more than happy
I guess, the issue is the connection. USB B to USB C.
The Android settings, R26, cables, are okay.
I'll have to search for a solution.Some USB C to USB B adapter ( R26 output )??

You could try the USB audio in the Playstore if you have a Tidal or Qubozz account.
Is free for trial.
I don't have Tidal or Qobuz, yet
Switched back to iBasso D16, no issues at all. But i like R26 more.
I'm disappointed. Why did they add USB B instead of USB C?
I'll sale maybe the R26, I'm really really disappointed
20 times a day, it keeps disconnecting it.

USB-B is a legacy input and the implementation is well known to the industry. I still wonder if it’s the cable maybe. You’ve proven both output and input work, just with a different cable, doesn’t matter that it’s A-B, just that it’s not the same cable.

You mean, the cable ( USB B to USB C) is not compatible or something ?
Bought it from Amazon, 20 Euro
Do you really think, this one is better, because it's expensiver?

Not necessarily because it’s more expensive but it’s just possible you have a cable that’s not passing the signal correctly. I’ve had cheap usb cables that worked fine, and an expensive one that didn’t work at all. It happens.

I will order the cable, and see how it works.
Can send it back if the issue occurs
Off topic, it has nothing to do with the R26
Just wanted to test some older ( 2020) iPad Pro.
I gave up before I even listened some music. Can't control the volum on iPad. It's all the way up
I removed the USB cable, reduced the volume on iPad but as soon as I plugged in the USB cable, the volume went back all the way up and from there, not a chance to reduce it.
Maybe it's some iPadOS limitations, I don't know.
