Try another USB device. A PC/Laptop, Android Smartphone or another IOS device.
Did you mean an A26? If not could I ask what is an A6?Having an A6 also, I can confirm this. LAN is more natural & less digital sounding.
Is that a real name or are you pulling my leg? Well, I guess if someone thinks Gustard is a name that will appeal to consumers, so will this! ThanksThink, EversolooDMP-A6
Did you consider that perhaps you spelled it right but the company spells it wrong? Okay, I apologize for all the whimsy. Now back to our regularly scheduled programHa ha ha didn't noticed. Typo error.
Install LMS as a server on the PCHi guys, I'm wondering if I could connect my PC to R26 through my local network and just play my pc's system sound to R26, basically functioning the same way as if I'm using a USB connection? Currently, my PC can detect R26 on my local network but does not recognize it as a sound device for play back.
Sorry for the abbreviation.Did you mean an A26? If not could I ask what is an A6?
Under the search bar type "Services" and choose "Services" App.Hi guys, I'm wondering if I could connect my PC to R26 through my local network and just play my pc's system sound to R26, basically functioning the same way as if I'm using a USB connection? My original plan was to use PC -> USB -> DAC. However, after reading a lot about which DAC and USB implementation to get, I found out that USB, while convenient, isn't a good way to transfer audio. (Noise from the computer into the DAC is the problem.) So, instead of spending a lot of money on a "magic" USB bridge, I got the R26 with its excellent internal renderer/streamer, and a relatively cheap LAN to fiber conversion kit. If you don't care about getting the very best sound from your DAC, then by all means just use USB. It will certainly get the job done. This whole LAN thing is crazy to me. I'm sitting at my desk, in front of my computer where my FLAC files are, but instead of plugging a cable from my computer to the DAC, I have to send the files to my router over wifi and then run a cable from there to my computer and somehow that's less lossy than just using USB? Why can't they just make a USB port that works as well as an Ethernet cable? Doesn't using WiFi introduce lag due to the distance and extra processing? Does anyone use the R26 as a PC DAC for other things than music, I play games and watch videos as well, would I just use the USB for those purposes and switch inputs?
As SpursForEver suggests, installing and using LMS (formerly called Logitech Media Server) will make it work - excellently and easily. I prefer LMS as music server since there are no glitches, it has an EQ plugin option and it's even free.Hi guys, I'm wondering if I could connect my PC to R26 through my local network and just play my pc's system sound to R26, basically functioning the same way as if I'm using a USB connection? Now called Lyrion Music Server. I use WiiM and R26 via optical, it is indistinguishable from the LAN input (Using JPlay Qobuz)I wonder if getting that new Wiim Ultra Pro and feeding the Gustard via Optical would be any better than the internal LAN streamer. Anyone tested a weird solution like that out?
