Santa came early. The lhy ock2 and custom pure silver clock cable arrived today. Going to connect the clock to the r26 and do a test between LAN +clock and usb to u18 to r26 + clock.

I´ve got a new LAN renderer v1.4 firmware from Gustard that fix the loud "pop" noises when you start a track in DSD direct mode. It works!

I have just added the Leo Bodnar GPS precision clock to the R26 and for the cost this takes the DAC up another level

The R26 is now punching harder mids are even more open with improvements across the range. For the amount off money it costs I would recommend giving something like this a try.

That slight warmth I would occasionally hear is now gone. Now a lot closer to a Rockna Wavelight

Measured phase noise of GPS clock at 10MHz output is equal or better than:
-70 dBc/Hz at 1 Hz offset from the carrier

I’m afraid this is rather mediocre performance for a reference 10Mhz master clock.

I’m selling my Gustard U18 on USaudiomart if anyone interested. Only used a few times to check my R26 I2S input, which is working properly. Adds a nice lift to a usb signal converted to an I2S signal. Add a clock to the U18 even better.

The media converter came wrapped in plastic. I just cut some holes to test it outright. Maybe will leave it for protection.
