What's the point using I2S from another streamer when I2S allegedly hasn't any error correction and R26 already has a streaming function built in?
I'm sorry, I didn't know that the text remained in Italian...I'm using a version of the forum translated directly into Italian and I thought that when I wrote, the reverse would happen. Now that I know, I will always translate....
I use poor man DDC Douk Audio U2 Pro I2S with BJC Series-FE HDMI cable to connect I2S to R26 and have no problem at all, it sounds great. I will get a better DDC or Master Clock later.
New to this thread and sorry if this has been asked previously, but does the Gustard R26 have any noticeable delay in "lip-sync doesn't correspond to video playback" like the Denafrips Ares ll if so is this just the nature of all R2R DAC's?
I read somewhere that Gustard makes a fuse that improves the SQ of its DACs.
Does this fuse benefits to the R26 as well?
If it does, what is its reference?

No, the R26 does not have that fuse. The R26 has a ceramic fuse of solid quality.
I ordered SR Orange for DAC, amp and preamp. There is a 50% discount on Partsconnexion.
The DAC is fantastic, but I've given up using the streamer side of my R26 as it stutters every time on Hi Res files. Instead I'm using an iFi Zen streamer which never puts a foot wrong. My understanding is its because my internet is not fast enough and the R26 lacks (sufficient) buffering, whereas the iFi unit does and has adjustable buffering. The lack of buffering in the R26 may be in order to avoid any delay in (for eg) lip syncing. If anyone could be bothered could someone please run this file from TIDAL and let me know if you have a similar problem to me near the beginning, as well as later, as my R26 always stutters near the beginning of this, as well as with other Hi Res files: SIBELIUS Symphonies / Klaus Makela (see attachment). Many thanks to anyone who can help clarify if its just me!
I don't use the Tidal Hi-res, but I have played other hi-res files from the local NAS without any problem. Download the particular track and check if you can stream it from the local network.
I don't know about the buffering of the Ethernet stream, but when I pull out the Ethernet cable the music plays on for well over a minute, so I think it is buffered quite a bit. Try that yourself and compare if there a difference between buffer sizes.

Files from NAS would not suffer from slow internet & so not need buffering. Not sure that is a fair comparison! Your comment about pulling out the cable is interesting.

What is the speed of your internet? Surely 5 MB/s would be good enough for hi-res? Do you watch FHD/4K television or films on the same net and simultaneously?

You would think so, yes. My Download is at 27 MBs so should be ok but the reality is - stuttering on Hi Res Music files. Interestingly, with the Sibelius one that I attached it always stutters in the same places, every time, so may be some other issue. That same file runs perfectly through the iFi Zen. No problems with up to 16 bit. So trying to work out why! Obviously its adequate for the iFi Zen which works perfectly, but I'd like to work out what is the problem. I've asked Gustard, but they have not offered either a reason or a solution.
