Hi all! My setup includes a schiit modius -> Schiit vali 2 tube amp. Previously I had no issues from the schiit modi multibit that I upgraded from, but now that I have powered my system on I have noticed a prominent hum. Everything is powered through the same surge protector, I have found that by turning my PC off that is also plugged in that the hum goes away. I don't have a separate outlet that I can use and all of this has to work on the surge protector. Is there any tips or tricks I can do to remove this ground loop hum (if that's what this even is)

Please let me know if you guys have any advice for me!

Could be that there's an issue with the Modius. Check for another thread I replied to recently - an issue with the Modius that might be turning an amp on and off. Turning your PC off may simply take the DAC's output out of the string and that might be the source of the issue, not really the PC.

You can read about ground loops with plenty of Google links, but they are sometimes very difficult to isolate and fix.
