701's by a mile. I have made the 650's sound great with a nice cable, But the 650's have no emotion like the 701's do with tubes. I'm a little partial to tubes at the moment.

olblueyez, you just made it.

Putting K701 into same level as Bose Triport.

......not sure if I have to cry or laugh about this, since this post is both tragic and comedic at same time.

I'm laughing,,, Someone earlier today was asking me to post some pics demonstrating how I feel about the headphones, should I?

Some assorted questions:
  1. Would this look any different if the HD600 stood in place of the 650s?
  2. Which headphones sound the most like flat recording studio monitors? Which better express the artists intent (however natural or unnatural sounding that may be)? Does this change for different artists, producing their music with different equipment?
  3. Would a cheap boombox or a car stereo actually be better for the average pop recording? Certainly nothing short of a miracle is going to make these recordings sound natural, but what makes them sound like they're supposed to?
  4. How much does volume affect the answers to these questions?

I believe you have crossed the line in terms of decency with those photos. Lets all try to be respectful of others and their opinion when we assert ours. I hope this forum is a place of refuge for people who enjoy headphones.

So why the heck did you start it in the first place if you didn't think it would be an intelligent thread? Boy, talk about dumb.

Ok, I will explain it so some of the cry babies can understand it. The 701 won the poll but Sennheiser more than doubled AKG's number in the best headphone maker poll. Thats what I call ironic. Look up irony sometime.

This is what to much Sinatra does to you...... its seriously harmful melody! (the word music doesnt apply)

Can swear with your life that your 48s are not coloured?

Can you tell me which is the most perfect woman, car, plane, house, etc in the world?
If you can, then you'll have perfect taste, eyes, ears, hands, etc...

get the picture?
