Yes it is an American company, but this is not where the pronunciation comes into play. It is the last namesake that gets the sounding "Grey-do Labs".

This is an original thread idea, I am with Duggeh on this one.
Search on google, search on Head-Fi. It works.

Is "Versace" pronounced "ver-SAY-cee" or "ver-SAH-chee"?

Is "resume" pronounced "reh-ZOOM-ay" or "reh-SOOM"?

These things keep me up at night.

Oh, and Smirnoff is pronounced "vomit".

Speak to John Grado himself or even Joe, they will tell you. I expect that Joe and Jon ought to know how to pronounce their name (being their namesake and all).
Being Italian myself I can understand wanting to pronounce as Graw-do, but it is pronounced Gray-do (Grey-dough) , however you want to spell it.

Havn't you guys heard, Grado are rebranding their line so that there's no confusion in the future?

Here's a pic of the new style RS-1:

Wrong on both counts, but thanks for playing.
