Am I the only one who has great results pairing the two? I'm a huge fan of Autechre, Aphex Twin, The Flashbulb, Carbon Based Lifeforms and many other IDM and Ambient artists. I love listening to them on my Sr225is. I've never thought of them as harsh, in fact, my friend's Rs2is were much harsher than my Sr225is. The bass is deep enough to pummel you, the soundstage is spacious and lively, but the most interesting thing of all is that slight mid/treble hump. What previously made guitars sound so good, that bump has a habit of taking the beautiful, sometimes very subtle melodies from analogue synths and giving them the most musical, exciting and warm sound. It just makes music like this more digestible, or more fun to listen to.
