Just a little update for those of you who may be interested...
I've had my SR225i's for almost a week now, and love 'em to bits! The AKG K701's have found new homes, as have my old faithful SR80's. It was sad to see them go, but served me well, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone.
It has been fun comparing and hearing different people's views on the individual models and suggestions of other cans to try out. At some point I might upgrade further, or perhaps give some consideration to the amp. I may upgrade my existing XCans with tweaks from Rock Grotto, or change it for a newer model, a Graham Slee amp, or.... well time will tell.
For now I'm REALLY enjoying my music, and feel that within my budget and for my tastes, I'm very happy with the choices made.
