How come we don't get this initial blown out of the water reaction from impression for the HD800? Somehow, I have this gut feeling that most will like the PS1000 over the HD800.

I would say as of 2020, and over the passage of time, your prediction on Grado PS1000 vs Senn. HD 800 is a fail. I would bet in a poll,
of Head-Fiers that in 2020 at least 70% have never even heard the PS1000 let a lone prefer them over the HD800 !
