We’ve just taken delivery of the official Grado headphone cases. Grado headphones come in very poor 'pizza box' cardboard packaging, which is definitely not up to the task of protecting expensive headphones for storage or while travelling.

The new official Grado Headphone Case is very well built from high impact material and is made to store your Grado headphones safely, while on the move or just for safe storage at home. The carry case has a special moulded interior to fit all Grado headphone models, except the iGrado and GS1000.

Grado Headphone Carry Case

The case is designed to fit the following models - Grado SR60, Grado SR80, Grado SR125, Grado SR225, Grado SR325i, Grado RS2 and the Grado RS1.

Daaang, $33 for that? There's always those $15 ones hanging 'round eBay....

These cases are definitely interesting. Very nice looking.

I agree.

The ones sold on EBay will handle the SR60 through 225 and the HF-1s. The 325i is a tight but will work and the RS-1 & 2 won't fit at all because of the larger bowl size. The Quility is OK but nothing to write home about. They cost about $16.00US.

I'll take my camera to the office on Monday and do some shots of the internals of the headphone case.

As I mentioned in the original post, the Grado case has an interior designed to keep the headphones in one position during travel. From memory it's has a ridge down the centre of the case for the headband to go around.

I'm afraid I can't promise high quality professional images - just snapshots taken with my personal point and shoot camera.

the RS-2s fit fine in those cases. i'm not sure which larger bowls you are referring to, as outside of the GS-1000 salad bowls, i believe the standard bowls only come in one size.

these Grado cases on the surface look nearly identical to the eBay ones, but if they do come with custom molding on the inside, they might be worth a look, if shipping costs aren't inflated.

waiting for pics.

I called and asked them about a case a few months ago and they did not even mention they had one in the works. The 18 dollar one off ebay seems to do well for my lowly SR-60s.

Apologies for the delay with photos. I discovered my wife had gone away with my camera!

I now have a reasonable camera and will be making some photos tomorrow. I actually have a Grado headphone case on my desk at work unpacked waiting for a camera.

We should be getting more stock later in the week.
