Hmmm. I have a feeling I'd love a GS1000, but got to keep the temptation in check. No more spending for many months!!

Am I the only one that thinks that $699 is still like 50% more of what these cans are really worth? IMO an RS1 is better...

I like RS1 best, PS1000 2nd actually.

I also like HD800, but its over-priced, so instead id get HE5.
But i did like the GS1000 on the WooAudio2, but it was very laid back.

I've come full circle back to my HD650's in terms of a special preference. What attracts me to it is that laid back sound. On looking at the frequency response for the GS1000, it seems similarly laid back. This is why I'd be very curious about it.

I love my 650.....except after i been playing with the ps1000,rs1,he5.
After those phones, the 650 seems dull and lifeless. Those other phones produce separate individual instruments and theyre more vibrant and textured.
As long as i dont hear them for awhile, then i love my 650.
One day i will have a he5/rs1 combo with a WA2 and Meier Stage dac....thats the plan.

They got alot of clearance deals. They got some PSB tower speakers really cheap, and theyre great speakers. PSB has good write-ups. I havent heard that model specifically, but another one i heard was nice.

They got some power conditioners on sale. Theyre always nice to have.

You are not the only one for sure.

They are not the most popular cans here. I happen to like them very much and think $699 is a very good price for a new pair.

The GS1000's seem to be a pretty rare headphone on Head-fi. Hopefully someone brings a pair to the next NorCal meet, as I've never had a chance to hear them.
