And just in case some of you might be tempted to cut your stock, S-cush aka comfies, to make your own flats, be advised that the density of the two pads is not the same , the TTVJ pads feel more dense,

Guys, any impression on RS1e and PS500e? I like very much the improvements in 80e, so I'm interested on the 2 higher models. No GS1000e or PS1000e comments pleaeaeaease, I beg you...I have very weak self control...:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Is it just me, or does the red Inside the ''e'' series grill, look like a red hot car cigar lighter.

Congrats blownaway, I guess you're going to sell the one you like less. I can't wait to read about your impressions. I gave the PS1000e a got shot, but I still preferred my old PS1000 sound signature.

Just a heads up, the weight of the PS1000's might make the rod blocks lose their grip with time, that's why I lay mine flat.

I'm going to pick one and return the other (30 days to evaluate @ B&H).  I've got some more break-in time due but I'm getting close to giving my impressions.  I've written down some notes as I go.  Seriously fun to compare strengths & weaknesses (not many) with my system and my set of ears :)

I am curious what the differences between the e edition ones and the i edition .
I am wondering whether should I buy a used Rs1i or a brand new Rs1e for a tight budget student ,

Very interested on the replies on this too...

Congratulations blownaway on either pair you keep!
I'm also interested in which you prefer (price excluded).
While you were at it, you definitely should have thrown the RS1e in the equation!

Of all the headphones I like, Grado will always be the most special. Handmade and in the USA. Family owned. Great packaging and shipping packing too. Quality, by hand not the damn machines. They are just the most special headphones on the market to me.

Feels like I'm opening a treasure chest when I open a Grado box. For other headphones it's just another box.
