  I ordered the PS500e today from 4OurEars.com, so I look forward to comparing them to my 2 month old PS500.  I'll be sure to give some feedback when they arrive in a week or so.

Looking forward to your impressions. Now, I've never really liked Grados at all. I tried the RS1 & SR80 (way too bright). But, I did try a PS500 at a meetup and loved them. They weren't excessively bright/forward like other Grados I tried.
 
Maybe I'll get swayed into Grado with a PS500e...

Sounds like some people are seeing some improvement, and others are just seeing what they liked about Grado before. Either way, sounds like a win to me.

I've owned the SR80i, SR125i, RS1 and still own the SR325is and of course the PS500.  The PS500 is the smoothest of the bunch and I can easily listen to them all day without any of the fatigue I would get from the others.  The main reason I bought the PS500e was to replace my 325 that I would take with me for use on the road.  Given the specs on Grado's website for the changes they've made with the 1/8" termination and a smaller metal and wood hybrid air chamber I think I will finally have a more portable version of my favorite Grado headphone.  As for the sound differences, I'll report back on that once I have them, but hopefully they didn't change to much.

Although I have many flagship orthodynamic headphones, I still enjoy my chrome PS1000 a lot.  Now comes the PS1000e which should give even more enjoyment to listener.  Like you all I want to know how PS1000e sound like so I asked gradoservice to comment the sonic difference between PS1000 and PS1000e.

Both the PS1000 and the PS1000e share the same voicing and musicality.
 
The PS1000e is has an improvement in efficiency which gives it additional dynamic range."

Thanks for the info.  This is the kind of change I was hoping for nothing to dramatic otherwise it wouldn't be the same headphone but rather some small improvements.

Judging by their use of 'i' for improved I'd assume that 'e' stands for enhanced. I know SR is Stereo Reference. I used to think it stood for Sub Reference being that the Prestige line is below the Reference line.

Is the e series already shipping? i'm thinking about ordering the sr60e. I had the sr60i but my girlfriend fell in love with them and so I gladly gave them to her.
