Basically, no difference. Refurbs are usually open box returns. Perfect exercise phones, no cable noise, comfy, very good sound.

I just jumped on this deal and ordered some of the refurbs today.   It sure beats my JVC Marshmellows for an exercise/working outside, on the go phone.  I don't want to use my Triple Fis to work out, and I was trying to decide between these and possibly getting another set of Re0s, RE2s, or Fisher Eternas, so I hope these don't disappoint.  I wanted something that sounded at least mid-fi that it wouldn't matter so much if something happened to them like it would with my Triple Fi's.  
 
I guess I'd have to say thanks to the OP for taking the risk on these and for the other Head-Fiers verifying that he was indeed an authorized dealer

Go through Buy.com and then check out on amazon. It comes out to $50 + around $7 shipping. Couple bucks cheaper than when you search on Amazon.

Oh, and by the way, how's the isolation and soundstage of these, because if they're both good I think I might have found my perfect earphone.
