headphone kitty I do not care about your morals, religious or political views. I will take headphone advice/views from you though. You also have the right to refuse service to anyone you please. Everyone gets to have opinions and views right or wrong so, lets try to agree to disagree on this one. Thanks!

Anyways glad to see everyones get their headphones. Still burning mine in; anyone know what is a good burn in time for these headphones? They do sound really good unamped.  They're better sounding then my HD448 which are around the same price normally. The clamping pressure is painful on my head though and, i have a relatively small dome too. Makes my k702s feel like clouds on my ears.

HAH! I wish!

There was one left when the 23 were 'in' stock. There was 23 in stock after all of them were sold out. It was showing 23 for a long time.

Though 23 may be inaccurate since they did restock.

also a mechanical keyboard could have prevented this mistake.
click-click...oh? click.

As I said on the Portable HP thread, this one too is absolutely hysterical. !!

Huge congrats to 17th Street Photo. More buzz than they've probably had in a long time. All who bought and received these should post remarkably positive feedback about 17th Street. If it was a mistake, they will garner amazing good will in exchange for some 'advertising' money lost. If it was intentional, they will garner amazing good will in exchange for some 'advertising' money spent., and either way, several here have scored tremendous cans for almost nothing.

It's a wonderful world sometimes, isn't it?

EDIT: And to answer the question... I received the straight cable.
And... the bass on my older set actually calmed down a bit after break-in. I don't think I read of anyone who's bass actually got stronger, but I didn't read every... single... post on the subject. The sound now is just incredible. @ tdockweiler: yeah, I remember when you had these and we were comparing observations. Glad you got another pair to try. Really let them burn in for 25 hrs or so. They seriously improve. Highs tame, Bass mellows... They are now like the D7000's baby brother. Wonderful cans.

Cheers!

there is something called common sense, it was clearly a mis-priced listing and people purchased much more than 1?  Whoever purchased even one set should be ashamed.  I took names down, everyone who said they purchased the set for $11 will never get to buy anything I have for sale here at head fi. You took advantage of that seller, why wouldnt you take advantage of me? Something like this happened to me before on ebay, I was forced to ship something that was worth 540$ for 54$.  I had no idea why, I typed 540, but after the auction was listed it became $54 buy it now.  Nothing sucks more than that.  Shameful, just shameful.

LOL!! This guy is something else.

1. Seriously you missed out stop being so sore.
2. Taking peoples names down? That in itself is sad.
3. Who cares if they can't buy from you whoppidy doohhh.
4. You think you are some kind of crusader by telling others that they should not have bought it?
5. It is not known for sure if it was a mistake or a promotion.

obviously a price error, $11 is an odd number to price something.  Nevertheless, a good buy unless 17th Street request it back with a refund to it's purchaser.  If they don't ask it back then it's a mutual understanding and no harm done, but pure business.

I never heard such good buy, those who got them are lucky and should enjoy them.

I thought it was pretty obvious that it was a pricing error but I think they did catch it relatively fast. It was there a couple of hours instead of a couple a days :P
