i know thts cheap but im saving for a new laptop so i cant spend much. my in ears are sick but my overs hurt my ears. any suggestions?

i listen to classic rock and metal, and dubstep. so they need good bass, but also clear mids and highs.

I'm fine to go a little over but not a ton.

Thanks,
wburton

I see these being recommended a lot recently, but aren't they on ears?

The CALs (Creative Aurvana Live) cups barely fit around the ears, at least for me.
But I do not like the CALs because it feels like the diaphragm in the cups is only a few millimeters from my ear, so my ears feel "bothered" after 10 minutes.

What about for over ear? Also, are there over ear on the same level as the S500's?

Currently my favorite under $100 headphone is the Gemini HSR-1000 (Takstar Pro 80) closed headphones, $85.
