Good IEM's for around $100 - $150?

The Etymotic ER-4P was one of my favourite IEM's. The problem was the fit and the cable noise. I have not tried any other IEM from Etymotic but do check out the fit. I would not buy the Klipsch S4. Total rubbish. It has no real resolution and sounds like a slightly more refined version of some of the $30 iem's out there. I would still go with the Triple Fi 10. I have gone through tons of IEM's and headphones and the only one's that stayed with me for close to 2 years were the Sennheiser IE8 and the Triple Fi 10. I would have kept the etymotic but the fit was what messed it up. I would suggest you get the triple fi 10 from Amazon. If you dont like it you can return it.

Etymotic is hit or miss- for me triple flange is terrible.
Avoid s4 or cx300 and others. I had tested triple fi and $80 audio technica cks77 and sq was same level, but $58 ckm500 model is even better- very beautiful and balanced sound.

I have tried a few - Shure se215. Ultimate ears UE600 and the Westone 3 (cost a lot more than $100).

Frankly I have passed the Shure and UE to others. I still have the Westone but prefer my MEE A161p both for comfort and sound. I can wear the MEEs on long haul flight 12+ hours without irritation. These also fit the price-range mentioned. They are a bit of a wax trap - but probably best value IEMs in the below $150 price range.

I am a newb audiophile that's owns UE TF10 & SuperFi 5 Pro, image S4i, Senn HD 25-1 Adidas, Bose QC15 and previous owner of some Bose inear headphones. The Bose inears was my first step away from iPhone earbuds for the sake of comfort and moderately better sound. I ordered the s4i the first day they were available based on a cnet review of them. They are decent earbuds that allow you to have full function of your iPhone and I liked them using the Comply foam tips. However as most those that I read about in this forum I had to get something better/different. Next was SuperFi Pro which is In another ballpark compared to the S4i. Then came the TF10 which was even better. I still use my S4i at work and around the house when making phone calls. That is truly the extent of their worth. They do have a two year warranty that I used to get a second pair. When my current S4i go out I will be replacing them with something different. The most important is pricing, I paid the following.

s4i. 100.00 direct from Klipsch
SuperFi 5 Pro. 135.00 EBay
TF 10 136.00 eBay

FYI I recently got TF 10's reshelled by inearz and I am still working on a fit issue.

It's probably best not to waste any time or money and go for the TF10 for between 100-150 on eBay. If you need to use them to talk on phone just get the vi cable with mic from UE. At most I would pay 30-40 for the s4i.

Save yourself the trouble and step up now to the TF10 for around 150-175 fi you have a fit issue consider the comply tips. Goodluck

Probably not... Im not sure if there is a real comparison of the two. The CKM500 is good, but i cant imagine it being better than the GR07.

CKM500 sounds better than gr07.

I have owned both and greatly preferred the GR07 mainly due to CKM500's tuning, bass is cloudy and vocal is lacking a little natural weight in comparison. The CKM500 does some wonderful things technically but its soundsig is not for everyone.

Audio technica cks77 sound sq is same level as tf10, totallydubbed agree too, and ckm500 is even better than cks77.
Ckm500 is musicial compared to gr07 which sounds thin.

Havent heard gr07, but im referring to ericp which has done straight comparison.

That's only one person's opinion though, an opinion you're now spreading as your own.

Please don't comment on IEM's you haven't heard or owned.
