I'd get a Magni or O2 (Mechy's selling his for ~$120 I think) for an amp, they sound super similar in my comparisons. And for a DAC, the Muse dac Bowie linked is great if you don't want to break the bank. (Odac and Modi are USB only)

But if the audioengine D1 has S/PDIF doesn´t that means that i conect it to the ps3, and it will pass it to the amp and the go to my headphone without the amp having S/PIDF?

Yes

It would be best to use RCA output then.

If the amp your ordered supports only 3.5mm input

Then you need a male RCA to male 3.5mm cable

Double amping the D1 with the O2 or Magni is useless.

The cable is only $3-4. Nothing expensive is needed.

I was just clarifying as the first units mentioned are not DAC's and do not have S/PDIF thus. The Modi and ODAC do not have S/PDIF either. But those are good popular amps.

Not sure how it works with DT880 though, but it should be fine.

Ok thanks, but isn´t the D1 a DAC? because im reading right now from other post that O2 don`t have DAC support

The D1 is a DAC and amp.

O2 and Magni are amps.

Thus if you plug the O2 or Magni directly into D1 headphone out, you will be dual amping. Sometimes dual amping is done on purpose, but for this case, it will be best to avoid it.

$110 shipped. But I took shipping costs out of my lunch money. So all in all Project H cost me like $80 :D
