Do you have room for speakers next to the monitor? Sound bars are becoming quite popular in front of the monitor if you're limited on space.

If it has SPDIF output you can use these. Or if it has built in Apt-X, or get an Apt-X dongle for it.

I don't want to spend that much budget is Around £100 and pc doesn't have bluetooth or wifi built in, i was looking at the Creative 51MF1610AA003 GigaWorks T20 but can find the required transmitter it needs to be wireless

Might as well get this plus the BT transmitter and receiver. You get midwoofers more than double the size of what the Creative has - goes lower with less distortion.

Anyways, here's one: https://www.amazon.com/Poweradd-Bluetooth-Receiver-Technology-Headphones/dp/B00ZUSJIQE/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1488428210&sr=8-4&keywords=apt-x+receiver

You can get something else smaller but the battery will also be smaller and have shorter operating time.

would a bt dongle work well

Like I mentioned above, it will work, but given it has a smaller battery, it wouldn't last one weekend sitting. Those dongles are really intended more for converting an earphone to wireless use.

ok so I've upped my budget to £250 for or speakers and bluetooth adapter/usb dongle

At that price you might as well get one with BT built in.
