Hi. I'm trying to decide on an amp for Grado RS-1. Does anyone have experience with Go-Vibe Magnum or Vulcan VB for RS-1? And what's the difference between Magnum and Vulcan? Many thanks.

The Go-Vibe Vulcan is a copy of the iBasso D1. The Mustang and the Vulcan are nothing alike. Too entirely different animals. There is a big size difference, function difference and run time.

No, no variable bass but look at the internals and you will see that the rest of the layout is the same.

I have not heard the Vulcan. It is a copy of the iBasso D1. The amp section from what I read on a review is supposed to be pretty good but the dac section is so-so. I would get either a D10, which is less money and would be way ahead on the dac section or the P-51. You are talking about the RSA P-51 Mustang, right? I haven't seen a Go-Vibe Mustang.

Sorry - I got all the names mixed up after reading all those reviews/posts

I meant Go-Vibe Magnum (not Mustang) vs Vulcan

Oh, well I have no info on those. I would rename the heading of your request. But I would still buy a D10 over the Vulcan, it is much smaller and has great sound and is less money.

It is strange.
iBasso D1: receiving CS-8416, d/a CS-4398, opamp AD823, buffers NE5532.
Vulcan VB: receiving CS-8416, d/a WM8740, opamp TPA6120A2, buffers NE5532.

Not the same. Or Vulcan /= Vulcan VB?

Vulcan VB betters iBasso D10 in sound quality.

Which one sounds the best? I'm leaning towards the VB for bass adjustment or the magnum for portability. Are these amps of high quality or should I stick with RSA or iBasso? I want a great clear sound with the capabilities of a lot of bass when needed. It seems that GoVibe and the Arrow are really the only variable bass amps that would do what I want, any suggestions?
