I see Norm just added a brief tutorial about Op-Amp Rolling for the Go-Vibe V5S.

He says pictures will follow soonish. Looking forward also to his list of suitable op-amps, etc.

Pictures have been added:

I am now offering the well regarded AD8610/8620 op-amp package, pre-mounted on Brown Dog adapters for the V5S, as an extra charge option at $28US.

Oh yes, and the extra set of op-amps now appears to have been changed to the OPA134/2134.

Good, in my old Supermacro III Version 6 I prefered the sound of the OPA2134 to the AD8397. Man, I have to many amps or I would have ordered this one.

Mmmmm, nice gut pics...I don't know about you, but me thinks that this amp has finally reached its maturity in this "V5S" version (seen the two new tantalums, btw?).

I'd like to try the OPA551/552 in it.

IIRC, you preferred the BUF634 buffered OPA2134 to the AD8397, right? That's a lot different!

Good idea, however it would have to be the OPA551 due to the low gain stability. I have 1+1 OPA551s on a Browndog that I could try, but I don't have a third to put on ground channel...

Why not order a sample from TI...

Me, I have them and the 552 too but not the amp, if it comforts you!

Listening to The Stooges debut album, soundstage is enormous; able to identify the sleigh-bells on "I Wanna Be You Dog as sleigh-bells, no small achievement. Color me impressed.

Now that's what I call listening material. I love the "dark" sound on that recording, and of course its a timeless classic.

I was listening to Iggy's remix of Raw Power last night and it sounds like broken glass with the vocals at 11. GV5S doesn't gloss it over or smudge it out, thats for sure!

Wondering if any of the V5 / V5S owners are upgrades from V3. I'm running V3 with 8066 OpAmp and really like the sound, and also just the clean simple design of my first amp. Not to mention just enjoy dealing with a craftsman like Norm.

What exactly will the 3 channel design of the V5(S) buys me that I am missing right now?
