Go big (ie7) or budget (klipsch s4i)?

im going to college next year and love the sennheiser sound, my current iems, the se110s, pale in comparison to my hd238, as such i've been drooling over the ie7 for quite some time, however im not sure i can justify spending that much as i start off down a long and expensive road through college.  I've heard great things about the s4i especially for trance/electronic which is about 80% of my listening
 
So which would you reccomend in my situation, Thanks for the help in advance 

  If you have another alternative that is around 100 dollars that is also good for trance im all ears.
