Since you are quite experienced with buying electronics parts online would you be interested in taking an active role in sourcing the components?

This is shaping up well. With at least 5 and hopefully 10 interested parties we can get some decent discount on parts.

Cheers!

Well, I wouldn't go as far as saying I am "quite experienced" at buying parts online, I buy mostly from the main stream electronic suppliers like digikey and mouser. Sure, I wouldn't mind taking an active role. Just let me know what end of the group buy you want help in and I'll see what I can do as far as sourcing parts. PM me with the details.

pappucho - we need top quality components for this list here :-

http://www5.head-fi.org/forums/showp...82&postcount=8

we will need all that x 2 because this amp has two boards.

Right now I think we should limit ourselves to the passive/active electronic components. First find good components and find a source that offers bulk discounts.

then we can focus on finding out about the other stuff (psu etc.)

Cheers!

gsferrari,
Sounds great. I would also vote for quality components, nice caps etc...

I don't really need the hookup wire as I already have 100ft on the way from the wire group buy... I have a stepped attenuator on the way, a resistor group buy for this might be cool... as for the PSU's... might not be good for people who want to try their hand at a dynamite when kevin releases those specs...

3 amps, raif? Does that mean you're building units for others? If so, shoot me a PM with details. I might like to get one of these, but my DIY skills aren't really up to snuff
