A friend gave me her old iphone 3g 8mg and now I use it as a source in my car.  The problem is that when I synced my music (ripped in WAV) I was hardly able to fit any songs on there before the memory was full.  So I had the iphone sync the music converting it to AAC 256 and know I can fit tons of cd's on there.  The problems now is that it doesn't sound as good as WAV does. What to do- what to do.....  ?????

Buy a Sansa Clip+ for $30 and use a 32GB SD card. 

8GB is 8GB there's not much you can do with your music besides converting it to 320kbps

The same, if not better. Matter of personal preference.
