The German Maestro Loan Program is now available in the United States. Thanks to Thomas Philipp, Manager Professional Products & Quality Management at GMP, who has been key in making this happen.

How the program will work:

I will attach the models that would be available for the program and you will post your preferences for the models that you would like to test out. The requirements would be that members who wish to participate in the program have a minimum 1000 posts and good feedback on the forum.

We'll compile a list in alphabetical order of the members who wish to participate. When the member receives the headphones, they will need to post a confirmation that they received them, then after their test period, they'll get the address for the next person on the list, then pay for the shipping (including insurance and delivery confirmation). Each member will have 2 weeks to test the headphones and at the end of their test period, they'll send them on to the next person on the list. For now, this program is only available in the US.

I started this thread a few months ago so you can start to get acquainted with them: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/ger...indeed-406658/

Since I already have the 8.35D Monitor, my vote would be for the 435 S. I'd like to hear the same driver in an open design.

Here is the like to the German-Maestro site to see the technical data: http://www.german-maestro-shop.de/ep...jectID=6149810

Yeah, I'm sure I'll make it. If I don't I was planning on picking up a 8.35D eventually, based on your review it sound like a nice can.

Yeah, you'll make it. Now you'll have a chance to try them out soon.

By the way, I'll be at the meeting tomorrow in San Jose. I'll bring my 8.35Ds and the new pads with me so local members can have a chance to listen to them.

We'll see about Canada. The shipping would be more expensive and there would probably be extra taxes or duties.

I would honestly like to hear the 8.35 D. I almost pulled the trigger, but got a great deal on a DT770.

I have good feedback in my signature.

M3NTAL, yeah, I know you have good feedback, indeed. Just close on the 1,000. I think it will take around 3-4 weeks before we decide which headphones are going to be in the program, so there's some time.
