i have made my cans 3.5mm detachable finally.
Went for the "superlux" cable on my 8.35, dt 150 etc (most headphones that i use ) So that i can run one cable to the dac/amp and just swap headphones. Also this is much better when it comes to storage.
Nice!
Stock pads, you like them better than the Brainwavz?
I still need to hear a pair of DT150-250's.
Hey guys,
I want to get a new headset and I wonder how the German Maestro GMP 8.35 D compare vs my Amperior?
I plan on using these paired with iBasso DX80
Hello everyone,
this is my first post on HeadFi.
I recently bought German Maestro GMP 400, for the moment I am quite happy with them (I also have: HD600 in balanced mode, DT880 250ohms, SR60i, I had / tried at home: T70, DT990, HD650, AH-D2000, T50RP MK3 ). I find them much more airy and less dark in comparison to HD600s, with very good and forward mids and great overall detail, particularly in the upper bass region. They are built very well with a plastic that looks also very durable and they are very light to wear. The negative point is that they do not adhere well to the head around the ears (I have a small head) and they do not clamp enough.
My question: since I have a Pioneer u-05 Balanced dac / amp, I would like to know if any of you guys ever tried GMP 400 in balanced mode. Is the internal cable set up for this? I wrote to German Maestro, but they just told me that they do not make the modI would like to keep the stock cable and would like only to change rca plug with a Neutrik 4 pin XLR ... In summary, I would like to know if it's worth it.
Thanks
