I initially didn't like Halo 2. After completing it on Legendary, I changed my mind and now prefer it over the original. It's really just a matter of adjusting to something "new and different". The ability to swap the useless weapons of your allies with something better is key. The AI is also better, though still not all that great.
There are many Halo killers. Unreal Tournament 2004, PREY, F.E.A.R, even Counterstrike: Source are better.
F.E.A.R: multiplayer is even a free download now. Halo was so, so. The only good thing was that it was ona console, but then they had better FPSs on there too.
