Oh, okay. I'm sorry about my obvious lack of knowledge, but outside the traditional computer audio world I really don't know that much about Hi-Fi.

So, I don't want to be rude but I really have to chose between the 3 I posted (Plus the Beyerdynamic DT880, but does that too require an Amp to work properly?).

Also, can someone give my any input on the Astros?

I don't like my HD580 (very similar to HD650) for gaming.

The DT880s should be decent out of a good soundcard.

Meh, I can only speak from experience. Thats what you get with high-ohm cans.

The PC 350'a are crap. I owned a pair for about a week and was utterly underwhelmed. Read this:

PC 350 Review

Cant speak for the other two; however, I own a pair of D2000's and they have ample sound stage. 3D positioning is phenomenal and you don't need an amp to drive them. Although the benefit from one greatly. I've tried a pair of DT880's and did not like them because they were a bit bright for me. To each his own.

The DT 770 Pro/80 is pretty nice for gaming. Maybe not the best soundstage in the world but the bass is right for gaming. I have yet to try my A900. I used the 770 for a quick session of Left 4 Dead the other night and was satisfied. Perhaps I'll try the A900 with BioShock and see how that goes. The A900 has weak bass, though, so I'm not too enthusiastic.

Problem is, those combos are TOO expensive! I only have 250USD do you understand? The Denons D2000 cost 340€, that's 450US Dollars!...

The Audio Technica A900 are 195€, 260USD, and the A700 are the same.

So, as you can see, you can't just point out a bunch of models, some are not available (The Denons have to be ordered and that'll take about two weeks) and inflation and dollar to euro conversion sucks. That's why I am very interested on the Astros, they are pretty cheap to me, costing about the same as the Sennheisers PC-350 and HD595 were I live.

We might be able to help you a bit better if you state WHERE you lived instead of saying "were I live".

Also, you are saying the A700 cost the same as the A900? You should look again... The A700 seems to be the best for you within your budget, and if the A900 cost 260USD for you, then the A700 will probably cost at most 150USD.

Sorry, Portugal (You're americans, probably don't know where it is, it's next to Spain, in Europe)

Yeah the A700 are the same price as the A900 (at least in the store I looked in), it must be a price error, but I would get the A900.

So, it's the Audio Technica A900, everyone agrees?

Thanks

Actually, most Americans don't really care where Potugal is because its also known as "the ass crack" of Europe. Nobody wants to go there.
