Steve (Empirical Audio) pointed out this website to us, which is offering free downloads of 4 Flac files of 24/96 high res music, made with "high definition tape transfer."

I just downloaded them, and foobar plays them fine, even via spdif out to Oritek Zhaolu DAC.

Fantastic, LIVE-sounding tracks of famous classical recordings. Kind of makes 16/44.1 Flac files sound like MP3's now. Go get'em NOW

I can hear lots of extraneous sounds in these recordings. It's really fun to hear them.

Berlioz Sym. Fant.flac - I couldn't hear anything besides a couple small "pips" or "pops". At 5:14 some one might be whispering but it's too hard to tell.
Daphnis et Chloe.flac - There numerous times when some one wispers or coughs
Historic du Soldat.flac - Some one is talking in the background beginning at 4:00 and is pretty consisntant until 4:20 when it stops.
SaSaensSym3.flac - Interesting sound at 5:21. Is it a truck driving by?

What have you heard in the recordings, well, besides the excellent orchestral music?
