Can't believe they haven't been re-dropped....

Finally, the cable is chopped off to 5' and fitted with an Oyaide angled 3.5mm. What a relief, that anaconda cable was simply a chore to lug around. The rest of the cable will be fitted with a female plug and used as extension.

Wish the re-dropped version would come with removable cable (just like the TH900MK2

So I have used the Alpha Pads for a little bit. Not sure I'm sold on them yet. They definitely change the sound signature. The low bass is mostly gone with the mid and upper bass taking center stage. The bass is also tighter. The mids seem a bit recessed now with the highs being a bit overpowering.

Maybe I'm just not used to them or I'm wearing them wrong. Is the thicker side supposed to be on the back or front of the ear?

As far as comfort goes A++++

These things are like 10x more comfortable than the stock ear pads.

Curious, has anyone directly compared the THX00 with both the TH900 pads and Alpha pads?
