I wouldn't use that one, too much stress. Like suggested the grade adapter is great:

But yes, the one you posted would work.

What do you mean by stress? Care to elaborate?

Would this one be better? http://www.amazon.de/Reines-Kupfer-Klinkenstecker-Buchse-Adapter/dp/B008LBF960/ref=sr_1_24?ie=UTF8&qid=1431788903&sr=8-24&keywords=6.35mm+3.5mm+adapter

Made of pure copper.

If you use a hard connector you end up with a long hard bit that produces a lot of stress on the connection.

Grado one is good, its a cable, its made of copper.

Man, you wouldn't believe the upset when I told my girlfriend how expensive these are. Should try to keep these things to myself in the future.

I've had TH900's for almost a year now and my fiancee thinks I paid 500€ for them. She still tells me off every now and then. If she only knew...

Just got my TH900. Wow! Amazing sound right out of the box. So far my only issue is slight sibilance with female vocals. Have tried it only with my Theorem 720 amp/DAC so far. Will sibilance improve with burn in?? Will wait for burn in before using with Woo WA7 and Zana Deux amps.

The sibilance is captured by the mic during recording and as such you should hear it. When a headphone doesn't reveal the sibilance that is source dependent that means it is rolled off enough that the detail is missing. Good in this case, but it also means for well recorded material you also lose that detail there. Perhaps I'm wrong here, but I'm fairly confident that the sibilance is with the source and is related to singers style, closeness to the mike, the mic itself etc. I think we sometimes fail to consider the limitations of the recording environment in these matters.

can someone please help in answering this, sometimes i wear headphones with headband moved to the back of my head, does the th900 have good clamping force to keep it still in such a position, i mean will it fall down due to light clamping force, i have medium size head.

for example the audeze lcd2 has good clamping force so that it does not matter where the headband is positioned

thanks for answering,

it doesn't clamp much which suits me. it's not the kind of can you dance around the house in.

dam so i will have to look at another one then that can have a good clamping force

I think the Theorem is a great match with the Fostex TH900.  It is a very powerful little amp and the DAC is very resolving with a wide sound stage.  The portability of this setup with an iPod is unmatched in sound SQ IMHO.  I am still burning mine in but this combo is highly recommended!  Curious who else is using this setup?
