I wonder how's the treble compare adx5k, if you somehow managed to compare them, i want another closed back but i;m still not sure, this adx definitely brighter than clear in treble bite and extension but if th900 is calmer than this i will consider to own one, it;s hard to find fostex cans here since there's no distributor, i need to seek it on some certain foreign market, cant audition them because it's so rare here, mostly audiophille here pick hifiman and gradoPurchased Focal Clear to duel TH900. Definetly more even sounding headphone, detail is near but not as as good, timbre is hit or miss vs Th900, slight metallic shimmer at times but TH900 treble spike does it own tricks too to timbre. Soundstage of Clear is smaller, instruments are more stuffed on eachother but imaging is quite good.
Bass is fine but ofc compared to TH900 it pales, treble of Th900 is more piercing, Clears have only slight bite on its treble and that might be the point why go to Clears, not as excessive treble.
Vocals sound more full and better than TH900 but unfortunately not that much, expected vocals to triumph majorly over TH900 but it didn't go that far.
For me TH900 sounds bit more high end so TH900-> Focal Clear but really cant fault Clears they are quite good headphones.

Haven't heard adx5k so can't compare but as overall TH900 treble is bright, don't expect anything elseI wonder how's the treble compare adx5k, if you somehow managed to compare them, i want another closed back but i;m still not sure, this adx definitely brighter than clear in treble bite and extension but if th900 is calmer than this i will consider to own one, it;s hard to find fostex cans here since there's no distributor, i need to seek it on some certain foreign market, cant audition them because it's so rare here, mostly audiophille here pick hifiman and grado
I see, but it seems it doesnot bother me, since i mostly listened EDM song, ADx5K definitely brighter than hd800 in my ears, if somehow i can stand hd800 treble i guess th900 not become a problem thenHaven't heard adx5k so can't compare but as overall TH900 treble is bright, don't expect anything elseHD800, DT1990 were more painful in the long run but TH900 ain't that far behind but even so its my number 1 headphone.
Also maybe just 1 more question, is the different tuning between the blue/pearl and regular one is noticeable enough and justified the different price tag ?! i read they release blue/pearl more expensive than regular one some time ago, it's wiser to buy the pearl/blue version when possible ?! worth enough or not ? do i miss that much for picking the regular red one ?

those colours and lacquer sure make a difference, lol
and hd800s is not fatiguing at all, The V in 900 is unescapable and even when you start the session it isn't bothersome at all. It just starts to get irritating a touch after a while no matter what genre. so I switch out to hd800s and go yes that's it. Then go back to 900 after a while and go wow that's fun cans. and so on

I had TH610 for 3 months now and i loved the sound, but somehow i felt that it's much too polite/softer/safe tuning. it's more like "all around genre tuning", i want to be more excite feel than this, do you think th900 will improve it (listened mostly on EDM genre) or just not worth to chase ?

yes its worth it, however you committed the sin of the shuffle up the line in audio, sometimes its unavoidable

If you can take OG HD800 (not s), TH900 should not become problem, at least for me it didn't.I see, but it seems it doesnot bother me, since i mostly listened EDM song, ADx5K definitely brighter than hd800 in my ears, if somehow i can stand hd800 treble i guess th900 not become a problem then

IMO th900 is one of the best headphones for edm, that's when I feel the v signature shinesI had TH610 for 3 months now and i loved the sound, but somehow i felt that it's much too polite/softer/safe tuning. it's more like "all around genre tuning", i want to be more excite feel than this, do you think th900 will improve it (listened mostly on EDM genre) or just not worth to chase ?
Just want to make sure that TH900 doesnot have mechanical clipping like clear, right ?! i once had clear but couldnot enjoy them cause clipping in certain bass song (keep in mind that i;m louder listener now), i just stick with elear and th610 for now, need complement them with TH900, i guess i make the right decision aimed for this one, once i had hd800 and hd800s but i couldnot enjoy them since in most EDM they did sound boring to me, anyway thanks for convince me.If you can take OG HD800 (not s), TH900 should not become problem, at least for me it didn't.

hd800S isn't boring its fantastic for edm, course not comparing th900 its a different animal, however its all good preferences are the thing. I love them both.

We must have different rigs and delivery system. I love my edm from sub bass to highs, dynamic, wide, with true timber. Love th900 for the thump tooYou like edm with no bass?
