Could you please let me know which one has the best trebles out of the 2? I used to have the 600 and I'm considering the Purplehearts. Thank you

First of all id like to say that I'm not treble sensitive and even stock hd800 don't bother me much.

With stock pads Purple Hearts give an impression that the treble is less airy and sparkly comparing to th600. With stock pads everything is very close to ears. Also seems to have a little more mid-bass.

Th600 to my ears have wider and deeper soundstage, better instrument separation and a bit more of bass quantity. Also, I need to increase the volume very little on my amp as they sound less loud with the same volume settings. These differences are very subtle and I would be able to live with any of them.

When I put th600's pads on Purple Hearts, they get wider soundstage and the differences become even less noticeable.

For now, I prefer th600, however that's not my final decision as I'm planning to spend a little more time with both. Hope this helps. Also, if you buy thx00, my advice is to get the pads similar to stock th600.

P.S. Running them with Schiit Modi Multibit and Magni 2 Uber with wyred4sound recovery.

I had the TH-X00 at the same time and to me the TH600 is much better sounding, the pads on the TH-X00 is a problem for me and I think its why they had some distortion in the bass and highs due to the bad seal.

Anyone interested in buying a pair of these? I bought them from Twerk back in January. I really enjoy the sound and look of them but, I have just realized that I hate headphones that have attached wires.

The mod to make removable cables is fairly simple on the TH-600 if you go with SMC jacks, if you want to go with 2.5 jacks then its a bit more work.

Long story short - I kept th600 and sold thx00 Purple Hearts. I like th600 just a little better - I would be totally happy with PH, if I haven't gotten th600.

If anyone knows the pads that are identical or very close to th600's original pads, please post a link. Thanks.

I've managed to snatch a pair of demo TH-600 with full warranty, like new, for much less than the RRP. Too good to pass!!

Congrats. These are very good headphones and very enjoyable.

I have th900 arriving soon to compare to th600. I wonder if it's a really worthy upgrade to th600.

I love the TH900.

I remember when I bought my first pair of th-600 (I had to sell them later on unfortunately) I had a listen to the th-900 as well. At the time I couldn't hear that much of a difference that justified the price jump (law of diminishing returns). In saying that I've had a listen again recently to the th-900 and I loved them. I was not able to compare them again to the 600 though. I've tried to find a decent pair of second hand 900 for a reasonable price, but when this pair of 600 popped up at $498AUS I had to grab them!
