  ???
That's, uh...
an interesting way of spelling my name.

Hahaha that's hilarious.

Just compared a friend's TH-X00 to my own TH-600.
It sounded pretty similar indeed.
Maybe more mids and less treble as everyone seem to have said.
bass is also slightly lower, (like 1~2 db), I guess.
Its sounds more intimate to me in a way, slightly less airy.

But the biggest difference was definitely the pads and the comfort!
A big win to my stock TH-600 in this department.

Sort of happy that I don't have to jump ship and spend a few hundred dollars after this!
But sad it means no new toy coming to me next time.

Honestly though the TH600 is just at the top end of acceptable brightness without being to much, anything more would be heinous for me at least. If there that close I'll happily keep my TH600's  and welcome THX00 owners as a kindred spirit.

It does my heart good to read the TH600/TH-X00 comparisons. I was starting to have buyers remorse about my TH600's but sounds like they are close enough that it wouldn't be worth the trouble to get rid of TH600's and get the TH-X00.  If anything, it sounds like I would actually prefer the 600's over the new version, except looks wise.

That looks like the metal think is a sort of unscrewed?  See if you can screw it back in or something.  Otherwise, I would just send it back to Fostex for a replacement, if that's viable.  (I have no idea what Fostex's customer service is like)

I believe Lawton might also be able to fix the problem.
