How would you describe the soundstage between th-600 and th-x00?

I think this would be the biggest difference.

The biggest difference is the tuning, not the soundstage.

Biggest difference to the listener not biggest difference in design.

That IS the biggest change in sound made.

Same drivers ?

Where did you hear that?
Sorry, haven't really been looking too much into the TH-X00s.
However, I do know that the treble is not as prominent as on the other Fostex models.

It is only a guess from speculations as no one with the inside information can confirm or deny the drivers being the same. Some others who have seen the drivers said that they are very similar to the 600 ? Trebles is easy, we all know the pads changed it (will from Massdroo confirmed it), also any filter ontop of the drivers can also do that as well.

Still no true confirmations about it identifications yet, however....so let's stop at speculation and guess.

All dynamic drivers look similar, and the TH-X00 drivers are probably just a slightly tweaked version or the same version with different dampening.

Exactly, and it wouldn't be the first time some manufacturer do it either . The crazy thing is that when looking into th90p drivers....I just want to eat the freaking membrane roflmao...

You, uh...
Try eating some paper.  It's what the Foxtex drivers are made out of.

No wonder TH600 isn't produced anymore... They're using TH600 drivers and TH500RP pads for new headphones called TH-X00. Easy way to make money.

. There is more to it, but definitely yeah

. It is also evidence enough that th600 should have been 399 to begin with lol

$400?
That's a pretty low price.
