Have you heard TH-900; do they really sound better than TH-600 by a noticeable margin? Again with the TH-900 woodcups on TH-600 are'nt we getting close to TH-900 sound?

Yes the TH900 is definitely better especially in bass and lower midrange but TH600 sounds more linear ( some preferred this ). Changing the cups to woods will alter the sound but i don't know will it be like TH900 or not, never tried them

Do these wrap around the neck easily? I'm considering them for portable use

The ear cups are about 4" in diameter, so when they're around my neck they don't clear my chin, so it feels like I'm wearing a scarf. Also, the dual entry cable isn't as friendly as single-sided for portable use. But you may not have a problem with either of these things. I only use them at my desk.

Any chance that someone with a specific height won't encounter the first issue? I'm 5'8

Are the TH600 a lot better than Denon D2000 or D2000+mods? I was thinking of getting either the fostex TH600 or a pair of D2000 and modding them... I owned the denons twice and sold them because the treble was annoying... Which has smoother treble out of the D2000 and TH600 or D2000 + mods?

I'm 6"2 and would not want to wear them around my neck... Plus I'd advise against mobile use as they are not the most robust thing one can get...

Thanks for the recommendation, but I pulled the trigger on DT 1350's yesterday. Those are way out of my budget for potable use as well, seeing as how the DJ's go for $850. Massdrop has the TH 600 for $520 so I thought long and hard about them. They look sick, but I read that some users find them bright, meaning I definitely will so I guess I'm happy with my decision. My only concern is that the DT's are on ear instead of over ear, but everyone says they isolate well so on ear shouldn't be a big deal

Good choice... to me the DT1350 is still the best mobile headphone I know. And they do isolate very well.

I have the dt1350 (refresh) with t51p pads (additional purchase), great headphones. i sold my T51p, just didn't like the sound signature and fit. I also have the TH600 and a pair of Bose QC25.
