I manufacture carbon fiber.
^^
May I ask whats the average density used for cars? Will it be different for the frame and the panels?
Carbon fiber is stacked in layers inside the mold. Typically 6k. Plus a foam core. And backed with 11oz. Carbon. However the resin used in infusion also affects the strength.
Michael Schumacher had a skiing accident.
In critical? Skiing accidents are terrible. Hope he pulls through.
In a coma. Seemed alright at first, later the condition worsened.
Not sure what kind of skiing he was into, from the injuries it seems the fast kind.
@customcoco
No. They use a high density and heavy carbon to withstand the force and torque. Nothing less than 12k and 20oz weaves.
The part in my pic is 3k
Thrill seekers. Hopefully this one will live a bit longer though. Wonder how many die in ski accidents each year. Probably more dangerous then Formula racing these days.
