Regarding Lotus, Hulkenberg and Perez is in the market and they chose Maldonado, can anyone explain to me the logic behind that? I just really don't understand them

Maldonado has huge Venezuelan money behind him from government oil. That's what I understand it is, anyway. Lotus has problems with money, so they are probably trying to grab all the money they can. I'm willing to bet that Romain is the lead driver in this case anywho.

A corrupt government that can fund a race car driver. But that's a different topic.

And what's with the driver shuffle anyway? I understand why Raikkonen would move, but the rest of the field seemed pretty well set. Especially Hulkenberg.

 
Because they had a chance to bring in Kevin Magnussen and according to McLaren that was Perez's only "fault" that Kevin Magnussen exists! Also they wanted to keep a British driver (maybe, that's my take) and apparently or as I understand the test drives Magnussen perfomed for McLaren in the fall was speed wise very impressive as well as his feedback to the team.
 
I can relate to why they would want to match Magnussen with Button and see how this pans out, can they work together, learn from each other and just as important can the drivers help improving the cars based on their feedback, they are the ones driving the cars and not the technicians but overall it is all teamwork and the right sponsors of course
 
I consider Kevin Magnussen to be extremely talented. His performance in the Formula 3.5 series this year was quite impressive.  I would not be surprised if he within the next couple of years or so would manage to capture the formula one crown if his car is on par with his talent, on the other hand he could just be an intermediate for one season until they can bring back whoever McLaren really wants...

If I had to take a wild guess I would say Perez brought nothing.  Maybe even killed some Button momentum.  He had a lot to feed off of paired with Hamilton...

Cool, thanks! What's your opinion on K. Magnussen?  Do you believe that Mc in the long run are trying to bring back Hamilton together with Button, which is what I actually speculated?

Right!  No opinion of the man as I had no clue he existed until recently.
 
McLaren trying to get Ham and Butt back together seems improbable to me as it would need to happen like now.  With the engine and car changes next year having an experienced driver on the team right now is what matters.  Seems most teams will have one... Ferrari will have two.  A few years from now the newbs will take over the fast guys as of now, and forward we go.  As usual.

Maybe it´s Ferraris turn or we will get a new Brawn GP team surprising everyone lol. But can´t really see that happening.
Red Bull team is strong though I don´t believe they are packing their bags

Not packing their bags per se, but just look at Ferrari 2004 vs 2005. It can happen pretty quickly even at the top, and this is more of a change than there was then. All it takes is for some other team to move the goalposts and Red Bull don't need to go backwards at all to lose.
 
My fingers are tightly crossed that it will be McLaren who do that; they've had pretty much all year, a huge budget and if the Mercedes engine really is the best that will give them a pretty strong leg up on Red Bull and Ferrari. Additionally, I've been pretty impressed by K. Magnussen in the World Series, so I have high hopes for his debut. Not really thinking he can go one better than Lewis did in 2007 (although he might be able to - Button isn't quite Alonso after all), but I view him as hopefully a potential champion in 2015.
 
Let's see how wrong I can be...
 
PS: I think 'not a Red Bull year but maybe a Vettel year' meant that Red Bull probably won't win the WCC, but that Vettel (the clear #1 on his team) might very well win the WDC anyway. Or maybe Ricciardo will come from the leftfield and steal all his point, giving the title to someone new
