In the mood for some apocalyptic electronic music and Coil fits the bill.
Sounds like an old video-game arcade gone berserk…but with some malevolent substance behind it all. At times though it seeps into beautiful cathartic swoops of sound often mimicking what you encounter over classical music - even middle eastern in some places.
Tanchjim One handles this obscene music perfectly.

Spinning one of my favourite contemporary French groups Air and their Love 2 album. Gorgeously produced filled to the brim with catchy melodies, beautiful sounding electronics of all kinds and a good boot of real instruments. I honestly haven’t heard a bad album of their’s yet, this one is certainly no exception to that.
The Silver Sundara fits perfectly.

The Jackson 5ive Get It Together (G.I.T.) - Japanese paper sleeved, SHM edition.... I got this CD about 10 years ago from CD Japan. The CD contains two albums on one disc – Get It Together (Sep 1973), and Skywriter (Mar 1973), though the package contains separate album sleeves for both albums.
Anyway, I first heard Get It Together when it was released in 1973 and have been in love with it since. Particularly love Hum Along and Dance (8:37) and especially Mama Got A Brand New Thing (Don’t Say No) (7:11) where a 15-year-old Michael foretells his future when he sings… “stop preaching that education cause this is going to make me a king”, …. “People in line just to see me, lined up as far as you can see” …... Mama, got a brand new thing don’t say no, let me go.
I personally feel like this one the “Jackson 5’s” best albums. Period. It’s certainly one of mine. Also on the Get It Together album is the hit Dancing Machine.

Thieaudio Oracle mk III > Hidizs AP80 Pro X > Fiio Q3 > USB c to USB c cable. Just got these today, and I must say, they sound magical, especially with jazz. Superb tone.
Alfa Mist - Antiphon (2017).

Ohh man, I've been waiting for my Oracle MKIII for weeks! I really picked the wrong store when I ordered them, as they have delayed delivery 3 times now. And now they will most likely end up arriving when I'm on vacation for a week

Anyway, glad to hear that you like them, hope you will get a lot of enjoyment out of them

Just got back home from the last pre-natal appointment with my girl and everything looks healthy and ready to go soon. I'm so stoked and nervously excited to have a son coming into the world in a matter of a couple weeks.
All of that aside, I've got some work to do in the shop this morning so I'm gonna kick things off with IEMs. For starters I'm going with the SoftEars Twilights driven by the Hiby RS6. I haven't given the Twilights enough ear time lately and now seems like the perfect time to fix that. When you want to listen with a pair that's very accurate, but also very musical and that just makes you want to keep listening, the Twilights are hard to beat.
Atop my queue this morning I've got two lesser known EPs. 1) Morpho by Code:Echo (rel. 2023) and 2) Paradise by Breeze! (rel. 2022). If you're a fan of stuff like Chon, I'd highly recommend checking these out. Both are mathy-proggy, guitar centered instrumental rock albums and both are fun and engaging. The Code:Echo EP has better production quality and I favor it stylistically as well, but the Breeze! material is well worth a spin. Two thumbs way up from your's truly!

An absolute ripper of an instrumental psychedelic rock album with dashes of folk, Black Sabbath-like riffing, swirling keyboards and an altogether wonderful flow throughout it’s playing time. I can never get enough of it. It also seems to get better with each track culminating in the last three that just take my breath away. If you dig the likes of Ozric Tentacles you’ll love this one. Certainly not the same but operating under the same colourful umbrella.
On the Harmonicdyne Zeus Elite for this as I needed some bass to fill out the old earcanals.

My 100% unsolicited advice[1] after three (still all at home) is take it slow and enjoy the little things, don't beat yourself up since we all make mistakes along the way, and don't forget to take care of mom! Parenthood is a bit like the story about Milo of Croton; he starts lifting a baby calf when he is younger, and by the time he's grown he is strong enough to lift a grown cow (in other words, the challenges will change, but they keep you growing!).
[1] That is the other torch that must be passed once you have children, boring others with our "wisdom"!
