For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

My 100% unsolicited advice[1] after three (still all at home) is take it slow and enjoy the little things, don't beat yourself up since we all make mistakes along the way, and don't forget to take care of mom! Parenthood is a bit like the story about Milo of Croton; he starts lifting a baby calf when he is younger, and by the time he's grown he is strong enough to lift a grown cow (in other words, the challenges will change, but they keep you growing!).
And more literally, as your kid(s) grow, your carrying muscles grow accordingly. Crazy what I can lift now.

Saw Zombi mentioned by @Lindholdt earlier and thought I’d pop on maybe my fave of theirs, Escape Velocity.
Feels like the sort of video-game electronic music from the early 80s a la John Carpenter but with powerful Neil Peart-like drumming on top.
Still on the Harmonicdyne Zeus Elite.

RME ADI-2 DAC > Eufonika H5 OTL w/ Mullard 6080 & Ken-Rad VT231> Atrium Open w/ Auteur lamb pads.

The more I listen to this album the more I like it. The guitar solo in 'Scattered' is a masterpiece.

Work won't really stop today, so I'm blasting some Greenleaf into my ears to keep myself going :D
On the Fiio FT1's and the Violectric V200/800.

I'm trying out a new (to me) matched quad in the Aristaeus this evening. I'm running the DCA Corinas from the Aristaeus with the new Phillips Miniwatt ECC82s installed and the Gustard R26 back in its rightful place serving as DAC and streamer. I experimented with my other DACs in this position, but the R26-Aristaeus combo just sounds the best. Everything is smooth, but resolved down to the finest details and the music has this flow to it that I find very satisfying.

Grabbing the number one spot in tonight's queue is Nordic Giants' 2013 album entitled Build Seas, Dismantle Suns. This is another one of those albums that's so good that when I came across it years after its release I was a little burnt that I had been missing out on it for so long. For me, prog and the related genres are full of two basic types of bands: Those trying to sound like the stereotype of the genre and those really trying to push boundaries and create something lasting and unique. NG fall squarely into that second camp. I just wish I could see these guys live as I'd love to hear how they execute in a live music setting and I'll bet the energy their music generates creates a great, charged atmosphere. I can't rec this one highly enough! 🔥🤘😎

Same setup except I wanted to see how the chain responds to a DS DAC so I quickly swapped out my R26 for my X26. I realized that in all my DAC swapping I had never tried a DS so here we go.

Up next in my musical run is Gavin Harrison and Antoine Fafard with their album from July, Perpetual Mutations. This album features some of the best fusion releases in the last few years. Harrison and Fafard make for an absolute juggernaut of a rhythm section and they hold it down from beginning to end. 🔥😎
