Oddly enough, I'm already feeling a bit tired so it's time for some IEMs so I can lay down and zone out. The Oriolus Szalayis were calling my name the second I looked at them and I paired them with my A&K Kann Alpha.
On deck in my kick back queue is one of my favorite indie/post-punk albums from the early 00s, 2003's Logic Will Break Your Heart by The Stills. This album and Turn On The Bright Lights are basically the first two albums that jump to my mind when it comes to seminal albums in this genre from that time. Both are fantastic and share a common stripped down, under-produced style combined with the hollow, almost plaintive vocal style that defined a lot of the popular albums/bands to come. Both of these albums were fixtures in my CD player when I was in high school and, despite many changes in life and musical taste in the intervening years, they have remained mainstays for me to this day. This is pretty much as highly rec'd as they come from me.
This might be my last post before I conk out so I wish you all a good night or good day, depending on where you are.
