I decided I wanted to see how the DCA Stealths did off the Schiit Magnius and SMSL SU-8 10th Anny stack with a Wiim Mini on top that I have set up in my little bunk area in the back of the bus. I'm surprised at how good it sounds. Obviously it doesn't have the range of options that I love to use on the Oor/Hypsos-May KTE setup at home to dial in the perfect presentation, but it does have plenty of headroom and a very clean, bang-on neutral sound and it controls the drivers surprisingly well.

For music I've got the 2015 album that introduced me to Mestis entitled Polysemy on deck. I dig everything this dude has put out. Crazy sonic textures and guitar work, quality production and engineering, and he clearly understands the importance of being backed by solid musicians in the studio (and live on his album En Vivo). As I'm sure anyone who hangs around this thread regularly already knows, I love listening to music of all types that showcases great musicianship whether that be technical prowess, great songwriting, catchy hooks, or whatever. The second I got into the first track on this album, I knew I needed to hear more and I haven't stopped listening since. 🤘😎

Fire Make Thunder (2012) by O.S.I. - These are a studio only duo that recorded their four albums via e-mail (I kid you not). Guitar and bass is covered by Jim Matheos (Fates Warning) and keyboards and vocals by Kevin Moore (Chroma Key), while drums are recorded on a session basis, the first two by Mike Portnoy and three and four by Gavin Harrison. The music is an odd one, it's a mixture of prog-rock/metal and electronica and it just works, even if it shouldn't. The only weakness is the vocals, they are a bit monotone but that actually fits in well with the music. All four albums sound fantastic through the D7200's, their extra bass really adds some low down grunt, which is always a bonus.

Bring Me the Horizon - There Is A Hell Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven Let’s Keep It A Secret.

BMTH’s masterpiece as far as I am concerned. Hard hitting emotional lyrics, Light’s guest vocals on a few songs, some neat production tricks (though I’ll take a remaster any day)

Yesterday, I started using the Meze 109's again. My long goodbye to my 109's as I put them up for sale on the weekend...

Right now I've got the Campfire Supermoons CIEMs running off my my Cayin N8ii. The Supermoons are a very versatile pair of IEMs and have become one of my go-to picks when I know I'm gonna be listening to a wide variety of musical styles/genres. They can very competently reproduce everything from prog-metal to electronica to classical and everything in between without missing a beat.

For musical entertainment I've got Sublime 's 1996 eponymous album. I was lucky enough to have an older brother who was a big Sublime fan before they became hugely popular around the time (and after) Brad Nowell's death and he had me listening to their music since I was about 7 y/o. He took me to a Sublime show just a few months before Brad ODed as a BDay present to a 10 y/o me and I still remember it as one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Everyone was having so much fun and watching the dudes from Sublime perform with such a laid back way of interacting with the audience left a lasting impression and has influenced the way I try to interact with people when on stage and always remind myself to keep things fun. Sublime is still one of my favorite bands to this day and listening to any of their albums always lifts the mood. 🤘😎

P.S. Pro tip: If any of you guys are in bands and you happen to play anywhere in SoCal and want to get the crowd into it, play a good Sublime cover and you're golden. Even all these years later, we have never failed to get a raucous reaction and participation from a SoCal crowd when my band lays down a cover of any of the better known Sublime tracks.

You prefer the 660-S2, Clear and FT5s to them?
very different headphones so it is a fair take.
i prefer the 109 over the s2 but sometimes i like the s2 more. it really depends on my mood i think or if i want a more laid back treble.
but to me both are fantastic keepers also i think the 109 works quite well with EQ so if you want less treble, do so
but the meze will always win for me when it comes to comfort and build quality.
my head gets tired after using the s2 for some hours. that never happens with my 109

To be more definitive with my answer, the S2's and OG Clear's are my two favourite headphones.

The FT5's are just little balls of warmth and bass. Probably closer to the iBasso SR2's, but a fun little headphone. And I really like the look, feel and weight of them.
