Neumann NDH-30 << Fog City Audio HPC << Icon Audio HP8 Signature (Raytheon JAN 6SN7 pair, Telefunken ECC801S):
[Impulse!: July, 1964.] A fantastic album: sometimes furious, sometimes contemplative, always intriguingly lyrical (to me, anyway). The musical seeds to “A Love Supreme” are germinating in this outing.

Damn Yankees (1990) by Damn Yankees - The idea of putting Tommy Shaw (Styx), Jack Blades (Nightranger) and Ted Nugent in one band was truly inspired. It would have been interesting to have seen just how far they could have taken this band but Grunge pretty much snuffed them out and Shaw went back to Styx, Blades back to Nightranger, Nugent back to solo work and the drummer joined Lynyrd Skynyrd. My favourite track is Come Again and it's causing me a problem as I just keep hitting repeat, great vocals from Shaw and some phenomenal guitar work from Nugent. The DT1990's are a really great rock headphone with a nice low down rumble, neutral mids and lively highs, which are not a problem to my well worn ears.
