You're welcome. Try this album when you get a chance. It shows how capable these HP's are at resolving every macro detail in it's own space. Simply amazing
My new old K340's sound pretty much like the green driver model I already own. I don't think I would be able to tell them apart from doing a blind test. There's just something about them that keeps me coming back for more.
Grado GS-1000e. Can't decide between it and 20yr old Denon AH-D5000 which I prefer. They both play music, unlike some recent uber-hi-end headphones I've been trying recently which sounded ghastly by comparison to either.
(a) RS-1x is the headphone for this LP;
(b) This, for me, is their best LP;
(c) The only superior version is the original [1969] vinyl pressing with the turquoise lettering on the LP cover. With a Supex SD-900e moving-coil cartridge … .
JRiver Media Center > SMSL SU9 > Schiit Asgard 3 > Grado SR325x
Boston (1976) by Boston - I have fond memories of catching the Boston hype train in 1976 along with millions of others, I had never heard a guitar sound so good and Brad Delp's voice was just off the charts. I don't think I could ever grow tired of listening to this album, any album starting with More than A Feeling is almost guaranteed to be good and then there's the amazing Foreplay / Long Time, which is almost as brilliant. I picked out the SR325x and had a think about what would sound really good through them and Boston is what I picked, they sound nigh on perfect together.
