It's crazy, but the Koss pro 4AAA are now outperforming some pretty good headphones
in my collection when hooked up to the Tubes.

Borderpatrol dac se-i-> LTA MZ3-> ZMF Atrium...jamming this outstanding instrumental prog metal. Been waiting years for new music from this excellent band and I'm not disappointed.

so I'll continue my journey through 1976's greatest rock albums. It's RUSH hour again! The RS-1 buttons are my weapon of choice for this magnificent album.

Fire Make Thunder (2012) by OSI - After using the Denons last night, I thought I'd try them with music that would show them off at their best and anything by OSI certainly achieves this. The bass and low synths really assault the ears with a very low thump and growl, it's a very addictive sound. The mids are just right and the highs, though they are slightly rolled off, still contain plenty of detail. The sound of this band through the D7200 is totally different to that through the RS-1x and while the Grados have nice punchy mid bass they get rolled off pretty quickly in the sub-bass, with the Denons I'm hearing sounds that were completely missing through the RS-1x - Horses for courses as they say.
