K240 Sextett LP is an outstanding headphone IMO.
Amazing vocals from Alan Jackson in this song. The Sextett portrays the most natural sounding vocals I've heard yet from a headphone.
The mids are delightful. Another great design from AKG. They are my favorite headphone purchase in quite a while. Real Keepers!

Currently listening with ZMF Aeolus and the Valhalla 2. I've had the headphone for a few years but just got the amp. I really like this combo!

Ambient electronica, Specially track 2 Poa Alpina is therapeutic. Fun part I have listened to this now and then since I got the CD around 2000, and found out today its from Norway. Probably why I found it at the local record store.

Minstrel in the Gallery by Jethro Tull - Still on my dive into the albums of Jethro Tull and this is where I currently am. The opening and title track is a real barnstormer, fantastic vocals from Ian Anderson, he really nails it on this one and Martin Barre has never sounded better than on this song - one of my favourites from their whole catalogue. The rest of the album is good too, though it never reaches the same heights as with the opener. I wasn't a Tull fan at the time this album was released, they weren't heavy enough for my 18yr old tastes but that all changed when I heard this album at a friend's house a few years later.
I was in the mood for a session with my Denons tonight and they didn't disappoint.

After losing a pair of K501s in a move that I had loved and used for 21 years since they were given to me by my saxophone teacher when I was 7 years old, I had always intended to grab another pair, but never got around to it for one reason or another. Well today I picked up a pair of K501s in excellent condition for just €40! I have them plugged into the Schiit Lyr with the Modi Multibit 2 pulling DAC duties.
For music, I have one of my favorite Sonny Rollins albums on, Freedom Suite. Not only is Sonny one of the best sax players that ever lived, but this album features Max Roach on the drum set. It sounds just as good as I remember on the K501s and I'm definitely stoked to finally own a pair of these again.
