Does anybody else think that this pic of Leonard Cohen looks a bit like a younger Al Pacino? That's the thought I have every time I see this album cover anyways.

Current signal chain is the AKG K872s plugged into my Cayin N8ii which is serving up today's hi-res entertainment.

For music, I'm listening to more Mother's Cake. Today it's their 2020 album, Cyberfunk!, that I have at the top of my queue. Another solid funky rock album that I always fund fun to listen to and that I also always find myself drumming along to one desks, dashboards, or even the air. That's the mark of a good rock n roll album. I highly recommend this album and Mother's Cake in general!

I present you with a sword from the 1800's and all you see is Al Pacino!!! You Hollywood guys :sunglasses: :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

JRiver Media Center (PC) > SMSL SU9 > SMSL SH9 > Beyerdynamic DT1990 pro

Heritage by Opeth - It's like Heritage and it's predecessor, Watershed, are by two completely different bands. I tried listening to Watershed and got about two minutes into the second track and NOPE! As soon as the grunting/growling starts I'm out. Heritage though is a different beast, very different, it has it's heavy passages but the singing remains melodic throughout. Suffice it to say, I'm very pleased that Michael Ackerfeldt saw the light and started singing like a sane person. There are lots of quiet passages with acoustic guitars, keyboards, etc. and these balance perfectly with the heavier passages, resulting in a very dynamic album.
Used the SMSL stack and Beyers for maximum energy for this one - Happy ears :L3000:

Opeth growling is one of the better ones in my opinion. Still I didn't like metal like this 10years ago it's something that grows on you the more you listen.

Often a shock for people who has heard Damnation first from Opeth then moving onto some of the other releases.
Great group 👌💯

Took with me the DT770 modded with ZMF pads for work amped by Xd-05 Plus. Some light paperwork with Elise Trouw in background.
