Thanks for recommending, indeed very interesting music!Snarky Puppy is always a fun listen. I'm never quite sure where they're going to take a given song next. I've posted this before, but their latest release, Empire Central, is a great live album and it's recorded very well. If you haven't already, you should check it out when you get a chance.
I would recommend that for anyone who's reading this actually. You don't really have to be a fan of any particular genre to dig what this band does. If you're a fan of good music and great musicianship then chances are they have something for you included in their sound.
Just chilling in my spot, enjoying a great album called Running on Empty by one talented Artist and Songwriter by the name of Jackson Brown.
Pioneer Monitor 10 (modded pads)< Luxman R-113 < Loxjie D30 < Amazon Music HD.
Thanks, HP Elite Book 2760p. It's a little older but has plenty of neat features. It gets the job done for my needs. An I5 processor, touchscreen w/stylus and DHD. $150 used is not bad at all.I need to get one of those laptops with the rotating screen like you have when I update mine. One of my listening stations is setup in a way that would make that a crazy useful feature! Which model is yours and how do you like it? Anyways, that looks like a comfy spot and I dig the soft lamp lighting. It reall sets the mood nicely!
Well, not everyone can be a Jada fan, she's has more of a Cult following for only the most sophisticated music lovers.@Davidzak64 Ever since you have first posted here, I have always found that mannequin (womannequin?) head pretty creepy lol. Anyways, here's what I am up tonight since I can't sleep:
Foobar2000v2 x32 [Resampler (96kHz) >Bauer S2B (Crossfeed: 8 dB) > Noise Sharpening (60%)] > Magni 3+ / Modi 3+ > KSC75X
You know Jada needs to hear what all this fuss is about. @rids57 and @JAnonymous5150
Spock's Beard . That's a pretty Big compliment in my book.
Focal Elex < Luxman R-113 < Loxjie D30 < Amazon Music HD.
When you're ready to have another session with one of P-SA's albums, do yourself a favor and listen on your K340s. I haven't heard the Elex so I'm not criticizing that choice. I only bring it up because one of the test albums I listened to initially on the K340s when I first got them was their album from earlier this year entitled Only Passing Through in hi-res and it was a killer experience that really got me excited about what the K340s can do.
And $150 used for a good functional laptop that can handle music playing and web duties AND has the cool rotating screen sounds like a sick deal to me. I would still be using my ancient HP if my girl hadn't held a full on intervention and forced me to upgrade to my current Lenovo Thinkpad (E15 I think lol. Get it? I *think*). I have to admit, this one is significantly faster and smoother when I'm editing music on it, but the VAST majority of use my laptop sees is as the music source for my listening stations lol!
